Example of Analysis using
SCANETTracking Function and MS Excel

Tracking data by SCANET (Fig. 1) can be exported as a text file comprising time and positions of x-axis and y-axis.
You can re-compose position data (XY-axis) by Excel (Fig. 2).

Time spent in specific area can be calculated from frequency in each area.
Fig. 3 shows that a mouse spent most time in areas 1 and 2 presented in Fig. 2.

Velocity can be calculated by Excel as a distance of 2 points devided by duration between the both points.
Fig. 4 shows that slow movement is major and rapid movement is few in normal locomotion in this mouse.

Data were obtained from 1-hr measurement in one mouse.
(Animation is not the same replay in SCW-REM.)
